7:00 - 8:15 a.m. - Late Registration
Until 8:15 - Warm-up
8:30 a.m. - Shiitake 5K begins
10:00 a.m. - Awards Ceremony

T-Shirts

Each entry will receive a unique "Texas Mushroom Festival" cotton/blend T-shirt that will identify you as a shiitake 5K participant. T-shirts will only be available to the first 75 entrants, but any registering after the first 75 entrants will receive a T-shirt by mail.

Awards

Medals will be awarded to the two top males and females in the following age groups:

• Under 30
• 30 to 59
• 60 and over

The 5K Course

The course starts in front of the pavilion in Lake Madison Park. The course leaves the park, turns right on Collard Street, then right on Shipp Street, then right into the park. The course then leaves the road and follows a trail around the lake back to the starting point.

Texas Mushroom Festival 2009

The Texas Mushroom Festival starts at 10:00 a.m. and will feature great Texas wine tasting and culinary mushroom demos.

The festival is worth the trip to Madisonville. This annual event has captured the imagination of lovers of wine tasting, mushrooms, cooking demos and all kinds of fun activities. In addition, there will be arts and crafts vendors, classic cars, a kids' zone, and Monterey Mushroom samples.

You may hand deliver your entry to:

113 W. Trinity - At the Turman Kimbro Center, on the square in Madisonville.

Register before October 17 and save $5. On race day, registration will be $25.
