Texas Mushroom Festival - 2005 Photography Contest Winners

2006 - Photography Contest Rules


Deadline: September 29, 2006


ELIGIBILITY:

Photographers of any age that are non-professionals are welcome.

COST: $5.00 per entry

  1. No residency restriction for contestants. Photographs must be the work of the contestant.
  2. Each photo entered must include a completed and signed entry blank.
  3. Entry blanks may be photocopied.
  4. Photos can be picked up Saturday afternoon after 4:00 pm, or returned with a $5.00 postage/handling fee.

CONTEST FORMAT:

Entries must be postmarked or delivered to our office by 5pm, Sept. 29, 2006.

  1. Any violation of the contest rules will result in disqualification.
  2. Photography entries will be judged in a private session.
  3. Grand prize winners will be notified prior to the show.
  4. Winners will be notified by phone and posted on the internet.
  5. Photographs must be submitted as full 8" x 10", unmounted, unframed prints
  6. Transparencies will not be accepted.
  7. Contestants may enter as many categories as they wish. No more than two photographs per contestant per category.
  8. No signed or dated photographs accepted.
  9. The Photography Committee reserves the right to refuse entries. Clarity and high definition will be taken into consideration.

AWARDS:

  1. "BEST OF SHOW - will receive $200
  2. "BEST OF SHOW - Runner Up" will receive $100
  3. Mushrooms: (Color or Black & White) will be awarded $100
  4. First ($25), Second ($15), and Third ($10) place winners in each category
  5. Each will also receive a ribbon.
