Texas Mushroom Festival

The Texas Mushroom Festival is proud to showcase a wide varieties of Texas wines.  Come sample the best of the best!  With your keep-sake commemorative wine glass, spend the day sipping wines and visiting the Cooking Showcase, where chef's demonstrate new and delicious ways to enjoy Monterey Mushrooms. $15 per person for the whole day and includes the program with recipes, commemorative wine glass and 5 tickets to sample the Texas Wines presented. We'll be pouring and tasting from 10 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This year, 2013, you'll be able to purchase bottles of wine to take home with you (as long as they are corked) so come prepared to stock your cellars with your favorites!

2012 Wineries

Located in the heart of the pristine forests of the Sabine River Valley of East Texas, Fairhaven Vineyards has seen exponential growth from 2004 to the present and now includes more than 11 acres of established vines. Surrounded by the verdant hills of East Texas, flowing with pure, sweet water, adorned with wildflowers, and blessed with a wealth of wildlife, Fairhaven vineyard has become a statement in the art of terroir. The wine list includes nine Estate crafted wines, as well as the first of the "Heritage Series" of wines, sourced from Fairhaven's exceptionally rare American Hybrid collection.

Landon Winery is perfectly located on the square of historic downtown McKinney. Our goal is to run a fun, family business crafting Texas wines on site. We have produced many internationally recognized award-winning wines. We source our grapes from multiple Texas vineyards and even some from outside of Texas. Check out our calendar of events on our Web site. Every second Saturday we block off the street in front of the winery for the monthly Art Gallery Walk, Jazz & Wine event. Enjoy outdoor live music, fine local artists and wine. And, you can reserve the winery for your own private event. Our tasting bar is open seven days a week. Our gift shop offers professionally made gift baskets, wine accessories, wine books and unique wine gifts. Yes, we ship wine and gift baskets.

At Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards there is an unhurried approach to life and every visitor becomes a part of our "big Italian winery family!" While we strive to make the best wines possible, we never lose sight of just having fun. We believe wine should not be a pretentious endeavor, and that's why Lost Pinos was designed to be a nice spot for visitors to relax, sip wine, listen to jazz and snack on Chef Dana's delicious tapas! In addition, we host monthly themed dinner events open to anyone who purchases an advance ticket. Check our Web site calendar or sign up for the monthly e-newsletter. Come sit on the tasting deck, watch the vines grow and share a glass of wine with us.

Visitors are welcome to tour this countryside vineyard and winery. Tours begin and end in the carefully constructed barn at the top of the hill. Spend some time studying the corkscrew collection and winery artifacts. The tour will take you through the path of the grape as it makes the wondrous transformation from vine to fruit to wine. In the cellar, you will experience the sights and smells of the wine-making process. In the tasting room, you’ll be able to sample the results of wine-growing. Please join us in the rolling hills of Brenham to taste the wine traditions of the Zaffiro and Macedonio families. Our gift shop offers wines and souvenirs for sale.

Flat Creek Estate is the home of Flat Creek Estate and Buckin Horse wines. The 80-acre estate is nestled in a Hill Country setting reminiscent of the Tuscany region. Twenty acres of well-tended vineyard blocks, progressive 10,000-case boutique winery, Pecan Park picnic area, walking trails and well-stocked ponds all grace the estate. Our event center, pavilion, winery, and Vintner’s Quarters lodging offer opportunities to host and present events, gatherings, business retreats and wine and food education classes.
